Thoughts of the week 1 (03/27-4/2)

Along with the main random gaming thoughts and 3D models, this will be my new format, if all works well.


3/27 The Nintendo 3DS was released. I had the wonderful opportunity to be a "first adopter" of this new hardware, and I am impressed.

Impressions:

The 3D is amazing. I was in awe the entire time i played dynamic mode in Super Street Fighter 4: 3D edition. I also enjoyed the Mii Plaza. The mini-RPG, "find Mii' is suprisingly fun, but in this game, i dont like that your hired warriors run away instead of getting hit.

I bought the 3DS not for what it can offer me now, but what it offers in the future. Mario 3DS, Zelda: OoT 3D and more are coming, and so is the internet, the rumored Netflix with 3D movies, and the Extended chat service.

Crysis 2:

My raptr finally says, "Playing Crysis 2 for the first time."  and I enjoyed every moment of it. there is a lot of negative press surrounding this game because:

crysis 2 isnt as graphically demanding as the original

It plays like call of duty

No DirectX 11 support

But I don't care, because it's fun, its fast-paced, and its BEAUTIFUL. Crytech has never disappointed in the graphics department, in fact, I recently re-bought FarCry 2. It is slowly going up on my list of top PC games.
